Amplifier Amp

Amplifier Amp
What amp (amplifier) recommendations would you give if I have a pair of 1000 watts?

I bought a pair of 1000 watt speakers that have sat in the box and are basically used as a support for the cable modem / router and an audio interface simply because I have yet to buy an amplifier suitabkle to feed them. Can someone enlighten me on what I recommend you power them? I would appreciate any recommendations, although I'm not looking to go overboard as they are my speakers because I have high quality studio monitors pretty good already.

Just because they may be classified into 1000 watts, which promise is an exaggeration. That should be in a very short beak duation sole freq. does not mean you need a big amplifier. The efficiency ratio and volume settings are most important. Ex A speaker with a rating of 89 dB at 1 W power require twice a score 92 dB @ 1W. Each 3db more efficient means only needs half the power for the same volume. I was shopping eBay for a good deal on something like a more or Denon Luxman. I see more Radio Shack Amp goes well cheaper for the 100 W / ch. Amp decent power for a lot of volume.
